WEX, Work Exposure in Government, delivered by ETMP with the National Indigenous Australians Agency

About WEX

The Work Exposure in Government (WEX) Program is designed to inspire and prepare Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students for careers in the Australian Government.

WEX brings Year 10, 11 and 12 students to Canberra and regional locations for an immersive, hands-on experience exploring real government careers. It’s delivered in a way that respects culture, age and local context, and always honours the Traditional Owners of the lands we visit.

Build visibility around the impact of WEX on students’ aspirations and confidence.
Showcase student experiences through stories, photos, and videos.
Highlight the benefits of public sector careers to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.
Promote pathways from school to sustainable employment in government roles.
